Levine Hall

Fostering community in health science

Levine Hall is a relatively new campus built as an extension of Appalachian State University’s Health Science Program. Their hallways and common spaces were drastically inactive, spaces ran together and individuals had negative feelings while inhabiting the cold and clinical environment. Additionally, through interviews with students it was discovered that competition from peers was another major challenge that students faced in this environment.

To remedy these negative aspects, I lead a team to offer students at Levine Hall a stronger sense of community, a brighter aesthetic in their building and a revitalized sense of purpose within their specific degree pathway.
